Synergy Series: Vetiver and Bergamot

I have managed to survive a few very difficult moments in my life thanks to good quality essential oils. While these powerful potions can aid in the healing of many different physical ailments they also work to clean up our emotional health. When dealing with a death in the family or a divorce many people turn to food, money, alcohol or other distractions to get by. I have noticed that those times I decided to make healthier decisions following a traumatic situation resulted in a less severe emotional reaction to said events. Therefore, going to get a massage when you’re feeling blue might just be the best thing to do. I find myself gravitating towards grounding essential oils whenever I fall into a slump. Vetiver is one of my favorites as it helps me stay rooted during this crazy ride we call life. Citrus essential oils are incredibly helpful in lifting the moods of depressed and anxious individuals and I tend to reach for Bergamot after hearing bad news. This oil acts on the digestive system and respiratory system immediately after application. Vetiver and Bergamot combined increase respiration while strengthening digestion. This duo helps anchor the wearer by imparting a mildly sedative energy. Apply topically in the evening for healthy skin that will glow by morning. Unwind at the end of the day with a bath infused with Vetiver and Bergamot to increase feelings of relaxation and tranquility. Be sure to add your oils after the faucet has been turned off so you don’t waste any via evaporation. The aroma sets the mood for massage and meditation beautifully. Come by the spa for a late afternoon reflexology session and ask for a Vetiver/Bergamot foot soak before your treatment. This combination will be sure to leave your feet feeling calm and cozy.
